's design for the July creature exchange!

Made a new species for this design, which is a monster humanoid race. Every individual of this species has an empty cavity in their chest with bars across it. By capturing an animal and placing inside they receive features of that animal, but only while the animal is alive in their chest cavity. This character in particular has a bird inside, so they gained wings. A monster without anything inside their cavity will be weaker, and more animals allow for more features (but are harder to control and keep alive). I based this species on the concept of greed and they are a sort of parasitic creature. This species doesn't have a name yet, open to suggestions!

This character has many scars and has lost their left arm (probably from trying to capture an animal). They have thorn markings on their hips to symbolize the idea of being trapped as well as a reference to Sleeping Beauty (the bird being the sleeping beauty). The bird in their cavity dislikes them immensely and has given them many scars but now quietly tolerates being trapped because they get fed. I chose to make this design genderless (but you can change that if you'd like).
